Gram Negative

Gram-Neagative:-

1. In Gram negative bacteria the cell wall is only 3 nano meter in thickness and contains no teichoic acid.
2. The cell wall in these bacteria contain various Polysaccahirde,Proteins and lipds.This cell is more complex than that of positive bacteia.
3. The cell wall is surrounded by an outer membrane.
4. The space between the membrane and cell wall is called periplasmicspace.The periplasmic space contain a gel like material called periplas.

The gram negative organisms are decolorized and take up the counter stain and therfore appear pink in color.
